Chef/Owner Miguel, inspired by his Mexican roots, honed his culinary skills in renowned restaurants. In 2014, he launched El Jefe with a food truck, followed by another in 2020. In 2018, El Jefe Cocina & Bar opened in South Minneapolis, blending Latin and Mexican flavors with craft cocktails. Now at Uptown VFW, Miguel continues to share his heritage through traditional Mexican recipes with a modern twist.
